People don’t have time to read long rants.
I know… you was taught in school that… the longer your opus – the better mark. It’s like if you wrote something short you didn’t give a proper time for a writing. Short article is the sign of laziness, right?
But in real life nobody cares how long time you spent for writing. What matters is if there’s any value. And one of the characteristics of value is how long does it take to read and understand your point: the longer your article – the more time of a reader you are wasting. So finding a way to express your opinion in the most succinct way is the way to increase value.
Skip unnecessary details. Don’t be repetitive. Skip joking unless it’s very funny.
The less the better.
