Do you have a 1000x game?
If you have a team of A players and you know how to build it from scratch – nothing can stop you. If you can build a 20 people team – you can build an army.
Peter Thiel and Michael Bloomberg (both are multi billionaires) are the examples of what you can reach by focusing on building a team instead of blogging, writing, coaching, trying to solve a problems by yourself or hiring someone ones in a while. If you are a company of one – you are alone… and you cannot possibly compete with someone who can build an army.

Don’t play “one shot” game
The competition for a first time writer is suffocating. But I believe there is a way to stand out the crowd.
The most common mistake a first time writers do is writing without exposure.
Derek Sivers was blogging 15 years before publishing his first book. Chris Brogan was blogging every day for 5 years before writing the first book…
A first time writers who don’t publish their articles are not writers but dreamers.

Teaching? What for?
Sometimes people ask me something – I give them my advice… But afterwards, I’m checking out if my advice was really that good. I google, I read books. And guess what – ones in a while it turns out that I gave a wrong advice.
So teaching someone teaches me to be humble. It teaches me to understand what I’m really good at, and what I’m suck on. And it motivates me to study more.
Try to teach, and you will learn a ton not only on a subject but on who you really are.

Nothing is everything!
Back in my high school days I had a friend. He has had quite an annoying feature. Sometimes when I asked him a question – instead of replying right away – he just repeated the question, and after repeating he was pondering for some seconds before reply…
It was very annoying. And every time I was thinking: “Why you are so slow… Can you just stop to do it?”If fact my friend was so slow that he managed to skip the last year in high school (he spent in high school 1 year less than all of us) and entered one of the best universities in Russia – NSU.
He was so slow that he didn’t care about classes on physics and math in school because he was studying physics and math by the correspondence course.

The short story of my life
YOUNG AGES
My mother was an entrepreneur. It was illegal in Soviet Russia so she was an entrepreneur undercover. And I’ve been so lucky to see what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. Incredibly lucky.
Sometimes in the morning my mom was looking in the mirror saying “if anyone would know how I don’t want to work today”.
It was happening very rare – that’s how I learn quite early – how important it is to enjoy the job. -
Editors never lie
It’s a great idea for a writer to have a blog.
But… Is this a part of a gig?Jared Diamond, Pulitzer prize winner, doesn’t have a blog. But he has published more than six hundred articles.
Walter Isaacson doesn’t have a blog. But he is a journalist.
Peter Thiel doesn’t have a blog. But he is publishing articles in a newspapers and magazines.

10 people
“Seth Godin has published roughly 6,500 posts on his blog since 2002. Which blog post would he point people to first, if he had to pick one?
It is called ‘First, Ten,’ and it is a simple theory of marketing that says: tell ten people, show ten people, share it with ten people; ten people who already trust you and already like you. If they don’t tell anybody else, it’s not that good and you should start over. If they do tell other people, you’re on your way.” – Tools of Titans by Tim Ferris -
What is comfort zone?
If you do only stuff you used to do – it’s boring. Does it feel like a comfort zone if it’s boring?
To enjoy your time you need to try to do something you never tried before.
It’s an anticipation of a new experience, something that gives you a thrill, a thrill that you are on the edge of discovering something new – this is the point of enjoyment. And this is your actual comfort zone.
